New Staging Thanks to funding received from Essex County Council Community Initiatives Fund, we have been able to buy a set of new staging to replace the old wooden tables which we have used for so long. The staging was unveiled at our recent AGM when we were presented with a plaque by the Fund. We were also joined by friends from other groups in the village. NEETG ONE-ACT PLAY FESTIVAL - Awards Our JKP’s did very well, with the younger group’s Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland being awarded the Adjudicator’s Shield; the older group – Under Jekyll’s Hyde– came away with the Best Youth Production prize and Alex Rolfe, who played Jekyll/Hyde, was awarded Best Young Actor. KP’s, AResounding Tinkle, didn’t get a main award. The adjudicator thought the ‘Theatre of the Absurd’ had probably run its course (he may be right but I liked it – sorry guys – some you win, etc….!). HOWEVER, the adjudication was very good and very complimentary to all who participated. So well done you lot!
